So a stranger read my blog

How AWESOME IS THAT?  She googled "Sirius 6116 is gone" and found my blog!  She left me a comment about her dismay at having to resort to the sucky kids music channel.  I tried googling "Sirius 6116 is gone" myself and it worked.  It was the third site on the list.  It is weirdly validating.

So here is a personal note to my unknown reader: Lisa, if you ever read my blog again, thanks!  I do think we should do something about getting Kid Stuff (Sirius 6116) back on dish network. Maybe we could stand outside their windows with boom boxes and blast toddlers singing The Wheels on the Bus until they pay attention to us (anything John Cusack did is cool and worth trying).  I have some particularly annoying children's CDs that would drive any programming director screaming from the office.  If you want to work out a strategy let me know.

  1. What about that crap CD Huck's grandfather had for him, the Moose-somthing-or-another. That was the worst thing I ever heard. I'd have tossed it out the window long ago but I wasn't allowed! I think they might use that in military torture camps, but I can't be certain. It's what I heard though...

  2. omg - I checked back to see if you'd read it, and I'm mentioned. cool. I don't think going all Lloyd Dobler on them would work, but here's an article from Wired with a ton of comments from distraught parents:

  3. I came across your blog the same way. I've already sent both Dish and Sirius an email, and even gave customer support a polite but firm earful over the phone. It's inexcusable....punish the parenting set, but leave the reggae folks with their tunes? Sure, I've got Pop Fly on my Ipod, but my daughter wants it to come on the TV so we can dance!

  4. Sis-in-law, I know the CD you are referring to. I "lost" it once already. Huck told G'pa and now I have it again. There are actually two, one is a Christmas CD. I'll bring it to the cabin for your listening pleasure.
